Jesse A. Stephens--> Deputy Director HOMETOWN: Plano, Texas HOBBIES: All sports... Die Hard Dallas Cowboys Fan ABOUT ME:
I am 25, a father of three boys and am getting married on May 9, 2009. I can't talk enough about what this walk means
to me and my family. This walk is so humbling and inspiring that I just cant stop working on it . We are not just
walking... we are honoring the lives of the people that paid the ultmate sacriface on that tragic day. I am proud of the Day
the Eagle Cried committee and will give my blood, sweat, and tears to support this event every year. .

<-- Steve J. Stephens Director HOMETOWN: Portland, OR HOBBIES: Writing my book and spending time with Angie ABOUT ME: During my 14 month tour
in Iraq I founded "Soldiers helping those in need - Iraq" and I am currently at Fort Detrick MD. My past events
include a 24 hour swim for domestic and child abuse as well as a 10 mile swim for Doernbechers Children Hospital. I truely believe that once you let an idea go anything is possible, especially
when you understand that no one can do anything alone. The committee for Day the Eagle Cried is comprised of remarkable
individuals who are all soldiers as well. On
September 11th I personally want to invite everyone to come out to the Mall in D.C and walk with us. We stand
together for Freedom, for those that lost their lives on that fateful day, and for those left behind. This walk is meant
to show a unity of what our country stands for as well as to remember. Remember that within our great country there is a balance.
A balance of sacrifice and of freedom....... may we never forget.

San Jose, CA HOBBIES: Texas Hold'em Poker and Hockey. ABOUT ME: I'm 25, with 7 proud
years of Army under my belt and many more until retirement. This event immediately appealed to me because of the challenge
it holds as well as what it will mean to so many people and myself. There are many who have died in the name of freedom and
just as many who continue to risk all on a daily basis. I will continue to do the same and honor those in any way that I can.
